OK. I've served my 2 year contract time, now i'm gonna dump cable. I'll probably keep the internet service unless someone has an alternative suggestion. I'm looking at what I'm going to use to stream Netflix and other streaming services, local HD television stations, and give me program information so I can record stuff. Any suggestions?

Apple TV?

Xbox One?

Build a Media Center PC?

Gotta get me HBO so I can catch up on Game of Thrones. (It's been 2 years!)

If you're going primary internet service, I'd keep an eye out for data caps. That how it seems ISP/Media conglomerates are trying to stop cord cutters. I've heard pretty good things about Netflix, ok things about Hulu. Hope someone with experience with those services chimes in. If you want to receive local HD stations you can try to go back to a TV antenna.

Something like one of these, fairly affordable http://www.amazon.co...TF8&node=172665

Use websites like these https://www.tablotv.com/tools/or http://www.antennaweb.org/ to determine what local stations are nearby then estimate what kind of interference your location gets.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Von. It looks like I get about nine different Networks with good signal at my location

I will look into the data cap situation. If they try to pull that crap they will lose all of my business instead of half of it.
